# Share and Publish Dashboards

> Make dashboards of your own, share them with your team or another account, set your home, and publish to the account home

Every account has one **account home** that everyone shares. Next to it, anyone can make **dashboards of their own**: for their role, a client, a campaign or a meeting.

## Make a dashboard

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the dashboard list">
    Click the dashboard's name in the toolbar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose New dashboard">
    It sits under the dashboards in the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name it and choose how it starts">
    * **A blank page**, to add widgets from the library.
    * **A page for each part of Hiveku you use**, such as Leads, Money and Support.
    * **One department page**: Leads, Money, Projects, Support, Phones and bookings, Reviews, Social or Automations.

    Only departments with numbers you can see are offered, and a page leaves out widgets on numbers your plan or role doesn't include.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A new dashboard is **private**: only you can see it until you share it. To start from one you already have, open it and choose **More > Duplicate**. On the account home, people who can't change it see **More > Make my own copy** instead, which makes a copy that is theirs to change.

## Share a dashboard

**Share** in the toolbar opens the Share window on a dashboard you made. (Owners and admins also see it on a teammate's shared dashboard, where they can only make it private again.) It has three parts.

### Who can open it

* **Only you**: nobody else sees it in their list.
* **Everyone in** your account: it appears under **Shared by your team** in everyone's list. Each person sees only the numbers their role allows.

### Who can change it

Once everyone in the account can open the dashboard, you can pick up to 25 teammates whose role can change dashboards. Owners and admins can always change, unshare or delete a dashboard shared with the account, so they are never listed. Changing a dashboard never shows anyone a number their role hides: every widget still runs as the person looking at it.

### Copy into another account

If you belong to more than one account (an agency and its clients, for example), you can copy a dashboard into another account you are in:

1. Choose the account in the dropdown and press **Copy**.
2. **What happens** says what the copy will hold there, before anything is made:
   * its widgets show that account's own numbers;
   * widgets that account's plan or your role there doesn't include are left out;
   * a widget on one of this account's own [Your data](/dashboards/your-data) tables says **Needs a table here** until you pick one of theirs;
   * filters that pick this account's own records, such as a stage or a person, are taken off;
   * **Run a workflow** buttons stay behind, since each runs one of this account's workflows.
3. Press **Copy as my draft**. The copy is a private dashboard of yours in that account, and Hiveku offers to open it there.

The copy belongs to the other account. Nothing links it back, and later changes to either one don't reach the other.

<Note>
  Every change to sharing is written to the account's activity log (**Settings > Team Members > Activity Log**).
</Note>

## Set your home

**More > Set as my home** makes a dashboard the one that opens for you when you open the account. Only your home changes; everyone else still sees theirs. To go back, choose **Account home** in the dashboard list, then **More > Use the account home as my home**.

To open the account home past your own, choose **Account home** in the dashboard list.

## Publish to the account home

**More > Publish to the account home** replaces the account home with the layout of the dashboard you are looking at. Everyone in the account who opens the home sees this layout from then on, each with only the numbers their role allows. The home as it was stays in its versions, so it can be restored.

Publishing needs **Account home: Edit**, which owners and admins have. See [who can change what](/dashboards/customize#who-can-change-what).

## Rename, delete and restore

* **More > Rename** changes the name. Whoever may change a dashboard may rename it.
* **More > Delete** takes it out of the list. Its maker can restore it from **Recently deleted**, at the bottom of the dashboard list, for 30 days. A restored dashboard is private again until it is shared.
* An owner or admin can delete a teammate's shared dashboard, or make it private again. Its maker can still restore it.
