# Widget Types

> Every kind of widget a dashboard can hold, what each shows, and how goals work

A widget shows one thing: a number, a chart, a list or a part of the home page. The library has over 200 ready-made widgets. **Build your own** makes the numbers and charts below, Several numbers, Scorecard and Needs attention from any number Hiveku keeps; Full funnel, Text, the home blocks and the team activity widgets come ready-made. See [Customize a dashboard](/dashboards/customize) for adding them.

## Numbers and charts

| Type | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Number** | One number, with its change against the comparison period and, where it has one, a small trend line. With a goal, how far along it is. |
| **Gauge** | How much of its goal a number has reached. |
| **Number grid** | Up to six numbers from the same data in one tile. |
| **Line** | A number over time, with the comparison period behind it. |
| **Bars** | A number split into groups, such as pipeline by stage or leads by channel. |
| **Bullet chart** | Bars, each against its goal, with bands at 50% and 75% of it. |
| **Combo chart** | Bars and a line on two scales, such as ad spend and leads by day. |
| **Share** | How a whole splits into its parts. |
| **Table** | Groups as rows, with more numbers as columns. Long tables show the top groups and put the rest in **Other**. |
| **Movers** | What went up and what went down against an earlier period, the biggest change first. |
| **Heatmap** | A grid of two splits, such as calls by weekday and hour. Darker squares hold more. |
| **Paths** | The channels leads came through, in order, such as Google Ads, then Organic search, then Direct, with how many took each path. |
| **List** | Records, such as the latest leads or overdue tasks, each opening the record it names. |

Only the ways that suit a number are offered for it: **Paths** needs data split by channel order, a **Heatmap** needs data that splits two ways, and a **List** needs records.

## Several numbers in one widget

| Type | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Several numbers** | Up to 15 numbers from any department in one list, each with its change. |
| **Scorecard** | Up to 15 numbers from any department, each against its goal, with its change and its last 13 weeks. |
| **Needs attention** | Only the numbers past a line you set, such as overdue receivables above an amount you choose, worst first, each linking to its page. When nothing is past its line it says **All clear**. A check whose data is behind says it could not be checked yet, never All clear. |
| **Full funnel** | Steps from different departments, in order, such as website visits, new leads, deals opened, deals won and money collected: each step's own count for the same dates, and its share of the step before. The steps count the same dates, not the same people. |

## Words

**Text** holds notes or headings for the page, up to 4,000 characters.

## Parts of the home page

The blocks from the classic home page are widgets too, so they can be moved, resized or removed like any other:

| Block | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Welcome** | The greeting and the **New website** button. Hidden on phones by default. |
| **Site summary** | Websites, live sites, pages and AI actions this month. |
| **Recent projects** | Your latest sites, with who is working on them. |
| **Account memory** | What your AI team knows about the business. |
| **Explore Hiveku** | Links to the main parts of Hiveku. |
| **AI credits** | What is left of this month's AI credits. Left off the default home on accounts that aren't billed for AI use. |
| **Here now** | Who on the team is online or away right now, and who is offline. |

## Team activity

When an owner has switched on [team activity](/dashboards/team-activity), these widgets show how the team is doing:

| Widget | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Team activity** | One square per person per day, paler on a quieter day, with what made each day. |
| **Quiet lately** | Who has gone quiet or is at half their usual pace, with a way to check in, and who is back from time off. |
| **One person's year** | Every day of one person's year as a square, and what made their points this month. |
| **Who did what this week** | The counts behind this week's points (emails, calls, tasks and the rest), one row per person. |
| **Leaderboard** | People in order of points, with trophies and badges, each department's board and the departments compared. |

People who can see everyone's activity see the whole team in these widgets. Everyone else sees their own row, and on the leaderboard what the account chose to show the team. **Quiet lately** is only for people who can see everyone's activity.

## Buttons, forms and counters

| Widget | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Buttons on each row** | Buttons on a list's rows, such as **Mark done** on a task or **Move stage** on a deal. |
| **Run a workflow** | A button that runs one of the account's workflows. |
| **Form** | Adds a row to one of the account's [Your data](/dashboards/your-data) tables. |
| **Tally** | A count with an **Add 1** button, such as walk-ins today. |

See [Buttons and forms](/dashboards/buttons).

## Goals

A **Number**, a **Gauge**, a **Bullet chart** and each row of a **Scorecard** can be measured against a goal. The widget's **Goal** setting has three choices:

* **From Goals**: the department's own goal where it has one, such as a sales quota or an ad budget. The setting says which goal it found and what it reads now.
* **Typed here**: an amount you type, in the number's own unit (money in whole units, such as dollars).
* **No goal**. A gauge and a bullet chart can't be drawn without one, so they offer only the other two.

A goal shows only to people who can see its number.
