# Send Invoices and Quotes from Your Own Email Address

> Have invoices, estimates and contracts arrive from your own business address, and give billing email its own domain so it always reaches the inbox

Invoices that come from your own business address get opened and paid. Hiveku sends invoices, estimates and contracts from a sending domain you've verified on your account, so customers see your name, not ours.

This guide checks which domain Northwind's invoices send from, and shows how to give billing its own.

## See which domain sends your invoices

Click **Commerce** in the left rail, then **Settings** at the bottom of the list on the left, then the **Email** tab. **Sending domains** lists the domains verified on your account. It's the same list as in Marketing, so a domain you set up there shows here too.

Northwind's sending domain

Hiveku picks the sender for billing email in this order: a domain set up for **Commerce**, then one for **All email**, then your **Default** domain. Northwind has one domain, so its invoices already come from [invoices@mail.northwindroasters.com](mailto:invoices@mail.northwindroasters.com). Estimates come from estimates@ and contracts from agreements@ the same domain.

## Give billing email its own domain

A separate domain for billing, such as billing.yourdomain.com, keeps invoices reaching the inbox even if a marketing campaign gets marked as spam.

**1. Click Add domain**

On the **Email** tab, click **Add domain**.

**2. Name it and choose Commerce**

Type the **Domain name**: use a part of your domain made for sending, such as billing. Under **What will this domain send?**, choose **Commerce: billing and order email**. Click **Add domain**.

**3. Add the records and verify**

Hiveku shows a few records to add at the company where you bought your domain. Add them, then come back to the **Email** tab: the domain shows **Pending** until Hiveku finds the records, usually within minutes. Click the refresh icon in its row to check again. Once it says **Verified**, invoices, estimates and contracts send from it.

The records are the same kind as for marketing email: [Get Set Up to Send Marketing Email](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/email-marketing/set-up-sending.md) shows them step by step.

## Good to know

* **The name on the email** is your business name. Click the pencil next to **Sender name** to change it.
* **No verified domain yet?** Invoices can still be sent, from a Hiveku address. Verify a domain so they come from yours.
* **Setting up invoicing for the first time:** see [Set Up Invoicing](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/commerce/set-up-invoicing.md).
