# Show Testimonials on Your Website

> Publish a testimonial, make a testimonials wall, and put it on your Hiveku website, where new testimonials appear by themselves

Once you have testimonials, a widget shows them on your website: a wall of quotes, a grid, a carousel or one quote on its own. You place it once, and every testimonial you publish after that appears on the site without another change.

This guide publishes a testimonial from [Collect Reviews and Testimonials](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/marketing/collect-testimonials.md), makes a wall, and puts it on the home page of Northwind's Pearl District site.

## Publish a testimonial

Click **Marketing** in the left rail, then the **Reviews & Reputation** card, and open the **Testimonials** tab. A new testimonial waits under **Needs review** and shows nowhere until you click **Publish**. Check that it says **Consent on record**: that customer agreed to have it shared.

## Make a wall

**1. Pick a layout**

Open the **Widgets** tab. Under **In the page** are the layouts that sit inside a page: **Wall**, **Grid**, **Carousel** and **Single**. Each has a description of where it works best. Click **Use this** under the one you want.

**2. Name it and create it**

Give the widget a **Name** after the site it goes on; only you see it. Under **What it shows**, leave the boxes empty to show all your testimonials, or tick one to narrow it down. Click **Create widget**.

**3. Click Activate**

A new widget starts as a **Draft**, and a draft shows nothing on your site. Click **Activate** at the top of the widget.

The Activate button is outlined, with Archive](https://mintcdn.com/locusdigital/8GlXhKMD8Q2Ojs0r/images/how-tos/marketing/tst-04-draft-closeup.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=8GlXhKMD8Q2Ojs0r\&q=85\&s=ba630b3ebe5770916b094023f022d624)

**4. Copy the code**

Under **Install**, the **Hiveku site** tab is open, with the code for a website built in Hiveku. Click **Copy**. The other tabs are for sites built elsewhere, such as WordPress, Webflow or Shopify.

## Put it on your site

**1. Ask the AI to add it**

Open your site in the builder (see [Open Your Site in the Builder](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/site-builder/open-your-site.md)). In the chat, say where the wall goes and paste the code you copied. For example:

> Add our customer testimonials to the home page: a new section just above the footer with the heading "What our customers say", in the same style as the other sections. Put this testimonials wall code in it: *(paste the code)*

Check the change in the preview. See [Make a Change with the AI Chat](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/site-builder/change-with-ai.md) for more on the chat.

**2. Publish the site**

Click **Deploy** at the top right of the builder, then **Deploy** on the **Production** row (see [Publish Your Changes](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/site-builder/publish.md)). The wall is live a few minutes later.

Northwind's home page now ends with its testimonials:

## Good to know

* **New testimonials appear by themselves.** Each one you publish joins the wall the next time a visitor loads the page. The site doesn't need publishing again.
* **Taking one down.** Click **Unpublish** on the testimonial, or **Consent withdrawn** if the customer asks. To hide the whole wall, click **Deactivate** on the widget.
* **Any website.** A widget works on sites built elsewhere too: pick that site's tab under **Install** and follow the steps shown there.
* **More testimonials:** [Collect Reviews and Testimonials](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/marketing/collect-testimonials.md) sets up the funnel that gathers them.
