# Open Your Site in the Builder

> Find your website, open it in the site builder, and learn what each part of the screen does

This walkthrough follows a real site, **Northwind Coffee Roasters**, a demo coffee shop in Hiveku. Every picture comes from that site, so you can follow along on your own site step by step.

In this series you will:

1. Open your site in the builder (this page).

>
> Nothing you do in the builder reaches your live site until you publish. You can try things freely: the steps on [Undo a Change](/how-tos/site-builder/undo-a-change) take any of them back.

## Open your site

**1. Click Websites in the left rail**

Sign in at [app.hiveku.com](https://app.hiveku.com). In the rail down the left side of the screen, click **Websites** (the folder icon near the top). Hover over an icon to see its name.

**2. Click your site**

**All Sites** lists every website in your account. Each card shows a picture of the site, whether it is **Live** or a **Draft**, and its web address. Click the card of the site you want to work on. Here, that is **Northwind Coffee Roasters**.

**3. Wait for the preview to load**

The builder opens with a chat on the left and your site on the right. The first time you open a site in a while, the right side shows **Loading Preview** for a minute or two while your site starts up.

| | What it is | What you use it for |
| - | - | - |
| **1** | The chat box | Tell the AI what to change, in your own words. See [Make a Change with the AI Chat](/how-tos/site-builder/change-with-ai). |
| **2** | **Your site** | Shows what you are editing. **Your site** is the version that goes live when you publish. The same menu lets you start a branch to try changes on the side. |
| **3** | Panel icons | Switch the right side between **Live Preview**, **SEO**, **A/B tests**, **Tasks**, **CMS**, **Database**, **Branches** and **Project history**. Hover over an icon to see its name. |
| **4** | Device buttons | See the page as it looks on a desktop, a tablet or a phone. See [Check Your Site on Phone and Tablet](/how-tos/site-builder/phone-and-tablet). |
| **5** | Page picker | Shows which page you are looking at (**Home** is your home page) and lets you open another one. |
| **6** | **Visual Edit** | Click on the page itself to change words and styles. See [Edit Text and Styles by Clicking](/how-tos/site-builder/edit-visually). |
| **7** | **Deploy** | Publish your changes so visitors see them. See [Publish Your Changes](/how-tos/site-builder/publish). |
| **8** | The preview | A working copy of your site. Click links and buttons to move around it, just like a visitor. Changes show up here as soon as they are saved. |

> The preview is your working copy. Visitors keep seeing your live site until you publish.
