# Choose the Picture Shown When Someone Shares Your Page

> Pick the picture, title and text that appear when a page of your site is shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, X or in a text message, and preview the card

When someone shares a page of your site on Facebook, LinkedIn, X or in a text message, a card appears with a picture, a title and a short text. Without a picture of your own, the card is plain or shows whatever the app finds. You can choose each of them for every page.

This guide gives the home page of Northwind's Pearl District site a picture of a Northwind cup.

## See which pages have no picture

In the builder, click **SEO** in the row of icons above the preview, then the magnifying glass on a page's box (or double-click the box). The page's panel opens with its **On-page audit**. **No social share image** means the page has no picture for sharing.

## Get the picture's link

The picture has to be online already. Pictures in your media library are.

**1. Open the picture in your media library**

Click **Marketing** in the left rail, then **Media**, and click the picture. A wide picture works best: 1200 by 630 is ideal.

**2. Copy its link**

Click **Copy link**.

Copy link, and the picture's size

## Add it to the page

**1. Paste the link**

Back in the page's SEO panel, open **Open Graph (Facebook, LinkedIn)**. Paste the link into **OG Image URL**. The picture appears below it.

The picture for sharing

**OG Title** and **OG Description** are the title and text on the card. Left empty, they use the page's own title and description, shown in grey.

**2. Preview the card**

Further down, under **Live Previews**, click **Facebook** or **Twitter** to see the card.

The card on Facebook

**3. Save**

Click **Save SEO Settings**.

Saved

**No social share image** leaves the page's audit, and its score goes up. Northwind's went from 65 to 75.

The card changes once you [publish your changes](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/site-builder/publish.md).

## Good to know

* **Each page has its own.** Repeat for the pages people share most, such as your menu or a blog post.
* **On X**, the card uses the same picture. **Twitter Card** sets whether it shows large or small, and can give X its own title and text.
* **Already shared?** Facebook and LinkedIn remember a card for a while. Their sharing debugger pages fetch the new one.
* **Titles and descriptions for Google:** see [Improve How a Page Shows in Google](https://docs.hiveku.com/how-tos/site-builder/page-titles-for-google.md).
