# See What a Workflow Did

> Find a workflow's runs, open one to see what each step did, and see every run of a workflow in one list

Every time a workflow runs, for real or as a test, Hiveku keeps a record of what each step did. That is where you look when someone says "it says it ran, but nothing happened".

This guide opens the test run of Northwind's Monday follow-ups workflow.

## Find the runs

On the **Workflows** page, **Recent Runs** lists the latest runs of all your workflows. Click one to open it.

In a workflow, click **Runs** next to the switch: **Run History** lists that workflow's runs, newest first, with how long each took. **Test** marks a test run.

## Open a run

**1. Click the run**

The workflow switches to **Viewing History**: the canvas shows what that run did, step by step, and nothing on it can be changed.

**2. Click a step**

Its panel shows whether it finished and how long it took, and its **Output**: what it found or made. Here the step found three deals.

**3. Go back to editing**

Click **Return to Live Editor**.

## See every run of a workflow

On the **Workflows** page, click **Manage** next to **All Workflows**. In a workflow's menu, click **View executions**. The page counts the runs, the failures and how long a run usually takes, and the buttons above the list show only the **Failed**, **Completed**, **Running**, **Test** or **Live** runs.

## Good to know

* **A red step says why it failed.** Open it, fix the setting it names, save, and test again.
* **Re-run with care.** **Re-run** starts the workflow again with the same data. For a live run, its emails and records happen again.
