# Export Your Data

> Download everything you've built in Hiveku, any time, in formats other tools open

Your data is yours. You can download everything you've built in Hiveku at any time, from your own dashboard, without contacting us. That stays true if you cancel: you never have to stay to keep your data.

<Info>
  Go to **Settings > Export data** and click **Export everything**. We email you when the download is ready.
</Info>

## What you get

An export is a few `.zip` files. Most accounts get two or three.

| File | What's inside |
| - | - |
| **All records** | One folder per area of Hiveku, with one spreadsheet (`.csv`) per kind of record: contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks; quotes, invoices, payments, subscriptions, products and contracts; bills, vendors and payroll; email campaigns, social posts and content; support tickets; calls, voicemails and texts; appointments; projects and tasks; automations; AI memory and knowledge; your team and account details. A `README.txt` explains every folder. |
| **One file per website** | The website's code, ready to run anywhere (`npm install && npm run build`), its images, the files visitors uploaded through its forms, and its database: a full SQL copy, a spreadsheet per table, and the people who sign in to the site (without their passwords). A large website comes in a few parts. |

Two extras are optional, because they can be large: **AI chat history** and the **activity log**. Tick them under **Choose what to export**.

<Note>
  Not in the export yet: your media library, call and meeting recordings, voicemail audio, attachments, contract and invoice PDFs, and files kept in a website database's storage. Download those where they appear in Hiveku for now.
</Note>

## Formats

* **Spreadsheets (`.csv`)** open in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets, and import into other CRMs and tools. The first row holds the column names.
* **Automations** come as one `.workflow.json` file each. You can import one back into Hiveku, or read it to rebuild the automation in another tool.
* **Money** columns ending in `_cents` are in cents: `12345` means \$123.45.
* **Dates and times** are in UTC.
* **Links between files** use ids: a `contact_id` column holds the id of a row in the contacts file.

## What is left out, and why

* **Passwords, API keys, access tokens and sign-in connections.** A key in a file is a key anyone holding the file can use. Inside an automation, these show as `[redacted]`. Reconnect your integrations in your new tools.
* **Hiveku's own records about your account**, such as plan and credit usage.
* **Internal machinery**, such as queues and caches.

The `manifest.json` file in every export lists exactly what was left out, table by table.

## Who can export

Owners and admins of the account. Every owner gets an email whenever an export is started, so a copy of your data never leaves without you knowing. Members see who to ask.

## After you cancel

You can still export. After your plan ends, your data stays downloadable from **Settings > Export data** for 90 days: a 30-day grace period, then 60 more days before the account is deleted. A suspended account can export too: sign in and use the download section on the screen you see.

## Downloads

* Download links work for **7 days**. After that, start a new export.
* A download that gets cut off can be resumed by your browser.
* You can start up to ten exports a day, one at a time.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How long does an export take?">
    A few minutes for most accounts. Accounts with very large phone or email histories, or several large websites, can take longer. You can close the page: we email you when it's ready.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I move my website to another host?">
    Yes. The website's file has its full code, its images and its database. Run it on any host that supports the framework it uses: for a Next.js site, any host that runs Node.js. Keys and other settings are not included: add your own where you host it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I import my contacts into another CRM?">
    Yes. The contacts file is a standard spreadsheet with one row per contact. Most CRMs, including HubSpot and Salesforce, import it directly.
