Once a campaign goes out, its page becomes its report: how many people it reached, how many opened it and clicked a link, and anything that bounced or was marked as spam. From the same page you can make a copy for everyone who didn’t open it. This guide sends Northwind Monthly: November, the campaign from Create, Test and Send an Email Campaign, to Northwind’s Docs test list and reads the results.
Northwind’s Docs test list is made of test addresses that accept email but never open it, so its opens and clicks stay at 0. On a real list, those numbers start to climb within minutes of the send.

Send the campaign

1

Click Send now

Open the campaign from Marketing > Email Marketing > Campaigns. With no send time set, the last button reads Send now. Run Dry run first if you haven’t: it shows how many people the campaign will reach.
2

Confirm the send

Hiveku asks first, with the number of people and the audience, and repeats anything worth checking. Click Send to and the number to start. An email can’t be called back once it is sent, but you can Pause the campaign while it is still sending.
Send this campaign to 7 people now? It goes to 7 people in Docs test list as soon as you confirm, and an email cannot be called back once it is sent. You can pause the campaign while it sends. Worth checking first: the bounce address note. Not now, and Send to 7 people, outlined

A small list goes out in about a minute. Bigger lists are sent in batches, and the page says when the send should finish.

Read the numbers

The top of the report has one card per number:
  • Recipients and Sent: the people the campaign went to.
  • Delivered: emails their email provider accepted. A gap between Sent and Delivered is mail that bounced or is still on its way.
  • Opened and Clicked: people who opened the email, and people who clicked a link in it.
  • Bounced: addresses that couldn’t receive it. Hiveku stops emailing an address that bounces for good.
  • Marked as spam: people who reported it as spam. Keep this as close to 0 as you can.
  • Unsubscribed: people who used the unsubscribe link. They’re skipped from every campaign from then on.

Send it again to people who didn’t open it

Click Resend to people who did not open at the top of a sent campaign. Hiveku makes a draft of the campaign for everyone it went to who hasn’t opened it. Type a new Subject line, or leave it blank for “Did you see this?” in front of the current subject, and click Make the draft.
Resend to people who did not open: This makes a draft of this campaign for the people it went to who have not opened it. Nothing is sent until you send the draft. The Subject line box and the Make the draft button are outlined, with Cancel

Create a draft for the people who didn't open it

Nothing is sent yet: test and send the new draft like any other campaign. Give people a few days to open the first one before you resend. Northwind clicked Cancel here.
