A task holds everything about one piece of work: who does it, when it is due, the steps, the conversation and the time spent. This guide takes one task from the moment you pick it up to the moment it is done. It follows Northwind’s “Print the opening-day menu” task in the Pearl District Café Opening project. To make a project and its tasks first, see Plan a Project and Add Its Tasks.

Open the task

Click PM Projects in the left rail, pick the project, then click the task. Its details open on the right: Status, Priority, Assignee, Due and Type, with the Details, Time and Comments tabs below.
