Hiveku saves a version of your site each time you or the AI change it. If a change turns out wrong, even several changes later, you can go back to any earlier version. Rolling back adds a new version that matches the old one, so nothing is lost: you can undo the rollback too. This guide uses a test site whose home page heading was changed by the AI, and puts the old heading back.

Find the version

1

Open the versions

Open your site in the builder and click the branches icon in the row of icons above the preview. Click See all versions on the Your site card. The list on the right shows each version, newest first, with who made it and when.
Your site, Editing here, No changes since the last version; Versions: Updated the home page heading, 1m ago, Hiveku AI, Saved automatically after an AI request, Current version; and Project created, 3m ago, Hiveku, outlined

Open the version you want

Click the version to go back to. Compared with now lists the pages that have changed since. Preview this version shows the site as it was.
Project created, 4m ago: Roll back to this version, outlined, Preview this version and more; Adds a new version that matches this one. Newer versions stay, so you can undo it; What changed, Compared with now: Home, Changed since, with Bring back this page, outlined

To undo the changes to one page only, click Bring back this page next to it instead.

Roll back

1

Click Roll back to this version

Hiveku says what will happen first: which pages go back, how many later versions are undone, and that those versions stay in the list.
Roll your site back to this version? Going back to Project created, saved 4m ago. The Home page goes back to how it was. The changes from 1 later version are undone. That version stays in the timeline, so you can undo this, outlined; Also put this version on the live site now, Visitors see it in a few minutes, ticked and outlined; and Roll back and put it live, outlined

Roll your site back to this version?

Choose whether visitors see it now

Also put this version on the live site now is ticked, so the button reads Roll back and put it live and visitors see the old version in a few minutes. Untick it to roll back only in the builder: the button then reads Roll back, and visitors keep seeing the live version until you publish.
A new version, Went back to and the old version’s name, is now the current one.
Versions: Went back to Project created, 1m ago, Current version, outlined; then Updated the home page heading and Project created

Good to know

  • Changed your mind? Open the new Went back to version and click Undo going back.
  • Just the last AI request? The chat’s Undo takes back one request: see Undo a Change.
  • Images too. Versions cover your pages and code. To take images back as well, use a restore point in Project history, described in Undo a Change.
  • Try big changes on a branch, so your site isn’t touched until you’re happy: see Try a Change on a Branch First.
