You can start a video call with a customer straight from their contact in the CRM. They join from a link in their browser, with no account and nothing to install, and they wait until you let them in. This guide starts a meeting with a demo contact, Dana Example, and follows both sides of the call.

Start the meeting

1

Open the contact

Click CRM in the left rail, open Contacts and click the person. Under Contact info, click Video meeting, then Meet now.

What your customer sees

Your customer opens the link in their browser. They can check their camera and microphone, type their name and click Join meeting. The page then says they are asking to join and that someone in the meeting will let them in.

Let them in

The meeting stays open in a small panel at the bottom right of Hiveku, so you can keep working. When your customer asks to join, it shows their name with Admit and Deny. Click Admit.

End the call

The panel shows how many people are in the call. Leave takes you out of the call. End for all ends it for everyone after you confirm, and your customer then sees that the host ended the meeting.

Good to know

  • Nothing to install. Your customer joins in their browser and does not need an account.
  • Keep a record. The meeting is not added to the contact’s activity on its own yet. To keep one, open the contact’s Meetings tab and use Log meeting after the call.
  • More: Add Booking to Your Website lets customers book a meeting themselves.
