A teammate’s role decides what they can see and change in Hiveku. When someone’s job changes, change their role. When someone leaves, remove them, so they can’t sign in to your account any more.
The pictures come from a real team, so names, photos and email addresses are blurred. Each window was opened and closed with Cancel, so nobody’s access changed.

Open a teammate’s menu

Click Settings at the bottom of the left rail, then Team Members. Find the person and click the three dots at the end of their row. You need a role that can manage the team, such as Owner or Admin.
Three team members with their names and photos blurred; the first, a Member last seen Jun 4, has its menu open: View Activity, Change Role, outlined, Transfer Ownership, and Remove Member, outlined

Change their role

1

Click Change Role

The window shows the person’s email address and their current role.
2

Pick the new role and save

Choose from Admin, Manager, Finance / Accountant, Sales, Marketing, Support, Member and Viewer, or a custom role you’ve built. Click Save.
Change Role: Member, the person's email address blurred; Role, Member, outlined; Cancel; and Save, outlined

Changing a role

A few things Hiveku won’t let you do:
  • Change your own role. Ask another owner or admin.
  • Give more access than you have. A role you can’t hold yourself can’t be given to someone else by you.
  • Make someone the owner here. Owner isn’t in the list: the account changes hands only with Transfer Ownership, below.
To see what each role can do, see Roles & Permissions. If none of them fits, build a custom role.

Remove someone who has left

Click Remove Member in their menu. Hiveku asks first: they lose access to every project and all the account’s data. Click Remove.
Remove Team Member: This will remove the person, their email address blurred, from this account. They will lose access to all projects and data. Cancel, and Remove, outlined

Removing asks first

Any AI connections they made in your account, such as Claude or ChatGPT, stop working when you remove them.

Hand the account to a new owner

An account has exactly one owner. Only the owner sees Transfer Ownership in a teammate’s menu. Hiveku asks first, then makes that person the owner straight away and makes you an Admin.

Good to know

  • What someone did. View Activity in their menu lists what that person did in the account.
  • Adding people. See Invite a Teammate.
  • The owner’s own row has no Change Role: the owner changes only with Transfer Ownership.
