Find your monitor’s name
Your tool sends a name with every request, called its user agent. Look in the tool’s settings or help page for it. Use the part that names the product and its version, for exampleNorthwindMonitor/1.0, not a general word like Mozilla or bot.
Open the Firewall section
Open the website, click its name at the top of the page, then Hosting. Click Production, then scroll to Firewall and click Allow a client.
The Firewall section, with Allow a client outlined
Allow the monitor
Leave Allow by on User-agent token, type your tool’s name in Token, and add a Note so your team knows what it is. Click Allow.
Allowing NorthwindMonitor/1.0

The monitor is allowed
Remove it when you’re done
Click Remove on its row. It’s removed right away, without a confirm step, so click it only when you mean it. Northwind removed its made-up monitor right after this guide.Good to know
- Allowing by address: if your tool has a fixed IP address, choose IP address or network under Allow by instead. An allowed address is trusted on every Hiveku-hosted site, while an allowed name works on this site only.
- Some limits still apply. Allowing a tool doesn’t lift the limit on how many requests one address can send, the check on very high volume, or the block on known bulk-scraping networks.
- More detail: Allow a Monitor Through the Firewall explains the counters, what a turned-away tool receives, and every rule.
